Welcome
In 1861 the corner stone of St Luke’s was laid with the ceremony of consecration being carried out on 4th November 1862. Situated at the top of Shedden Hill, St Luke’s Church overlooks Torre Abbey and its beautiful Gardens, and also provides a fine view across Torre Abbey Sands to Paignton. Over the years St Luke’s has ministered faithfully not only to those who live in the parish but also to holiday makers and foreign students. Today it is one of the well known Anglican Churches in Torbay and certainly the most colourful. A very warm welcome awaits all who enter its doors. |
